How to give
A gift that matters
Give your time
Days passing without purpose? Give a few hours to a neighborhood community garden. No experience needed: soil, seeds, water, harvest. You work beside neighbors, you learn, and the garden feeds the people who tend it.
This is community time, not a job. The gardens belong to the neighborhood. The food grown there goes to the people who grow it; it is not sold. Your hours are written down, and the harvest is shared fairly among the people who tended it. Under 18? Come with a parent or guardian, and they sign up here.
Bring what you know
The fund works like open source. If you have experience — soil, water, carpentry, teaching, law, accounting, preserving, anything — you can bring it. Offer a skill, or write down a method so everyone can use it. The owner reads every contribution and answers in person.
Open to contribute, decided here. Nothing is published, taught, planted or spent on a contribution alone; each one is read and answered in person, here. A published piece is shared freely and credited to you by first name unless you ask otherwise. Describe what a thing is and how it was used — never a cure.
